Our community isnt the most secure area in the entire world. We have to contend with break-ins robberies and also drive-by shootings all the time however since this is our home were ready to deal with it.

We have adapted to our environment as well as bought a complex home security system which includes a number of home alarms as well as covert cameras. Even though this might not prevent a determined burglar we can at least make sure that well bring the bad guys to justice.

One of the more interesting pieces of equipment that we have is an auto dialer security and safety alarm. As soon as armed this particular auto dialer regularly scans the room it is in and is going to sound a 105 dB alarm as soon as that motion is discovered.

When the alarm is sounded it will also call up to 5 preset phone numbers. We have programmed it to include the phone number of the local police department in order that it will call for help in the event that were not able to.

We set up our auto dialer inside the main room which is the living room of our home. We do not have a back or side door and there are no trees around the house so we only have to worry about one entranceway.

In the summer months our front door is open throughout the day to air out our house so we have the alarm fixed to chime mode. In this mode it is going to play a light chime sound every time it perceives movement but will not sound the alarm or call the cops.

We arm our motion detector auto dialer alarm during the night when were asleep and also each time we venture out on long journeys. When utilized in conjunction with our hidden cameras this makes sure that anyone that trespasses could be tracked as well as captured.

The home alarms that we use give us not just security but also peace of mind. Our motion-detecting auto dialer has proven to be very helpful that we have made a decision to get one each for our office and our shop as well.

Various amounts of stun gun voltage produce varying results. I discovered this reality when I was searching for a non-lethal weapon which was strong enough to take an opponent down without causing any permanent damage.

With so much news on incidents of attacks on innocent individuals I felt worried and was forced to give myself with handy self-defense. I started seeking stun weapons and my search brought me to an internet website that offered these.

It is important to note that it requires fewer shots in order to administer electricity towards a target with a high voltage stun gun. The millions of volts being produced can bring down even the most pain-tolerant assailant.

small stun guns meanwhile are lightweight and extremely portable irrespective of voltage. They can immobilize any target however those that are low voltage stun guns may need to be repeated a couple of times more.

One item in particular caught my eye. It is all those and a disguised stun gun that seems like a normal Blackberry-type handheld gadget that gives it the benefit of the element of surprise.

No assailant will ever think that theyll be jolted by 4.5 million volts of electricity coming from a Hot Shot stun gun because it will seem like you are simply getting a cellular phone to call for assistance. It is equipped with a safety switch and also an illuminated red light which signals you when it is ready to unleash hell on your assailant.

Catching enemies off guard is a lot more effective in thwarting any serious harm which may fall upon any would-be victim. With this one can quickly escape danger and flag for assistance.

In coming to terms with the possibility of being assaulted I made up my mind to arm myself immediately using a self-defense weapon which has the power of punch to the gut. So right after reviewing stun gun voltage I figured that the right one for me is one that could teach my assailant a hard lesson with just a single shot.

My aunt that is in her 50s is starting to become a little bit paranoid. She is constantly suspicious of others who give her so much as a glance. Thus when her 54th birthday was just around the corner I checked on the web for any cheap stun guns to ensure that I could offer her one as a gift.

When the big day came and she opened her present she was a little bit puzzled. I told her that stun guns are non-lethal weapons but they could disable a target temporarily to offer her enough time to run away from her attacker.

She asked with a bit of reluctance in her voice how it could possibly stop an opponent. I told her that a stun gun is going to deliver an electrical shock when it comes in contact with the attackers body.

What I gave her exactly was a Z-Force stun gun. This low voltage stun gun has 100000 volts only that gives a moderate electric shock which lowers the possibility that the opponent might get really really hurt. Another choice that I discovered was a 300000-volt stun gun still low voltage compared to other stun devices having a million volts or so.

I added that her new small stun gun is handy also. Because of its size it can easily fit into her bag or even in the pocket of her jeans.

In cases where walking home by herself at night cant be avoided I told my auntie that she should always be prepared thus have her slim stun gun on her hand . Since it is small and very easy to grip it could be very easily hidden in the palm. And if by any possibility she gets mugged her assailant is going to be totally shocked with what hit him or her.

I reminded my aunt not to get crazy with fear now that she has a stun gun with her. She should not just stun anybody that she suspects though. I also gave her the contact details of the store I came across that sold cheap stun guns in the event that she required a replacement or maybe even an extra one.

As soon as I started earning a living I would grab 10 bucks out of my own wallet every day and keep it as petty cash. Precisely what served as my own piggy bank was an empty box of chocolates being that I was far too close-fisted to snap up a much better moneybox.

The apartment where I stayed with 3 other individuals was burgled eventually. My chocolate box was spared though as who would bother to try looking in it for spoils? That mere package got me an awesome thought on how to build a hidden safe on the cheap.

Therefore for the next several years I would go from one used package to another regardless of whether was an unused coffee can or perhaps ice cream cup and put those to use as storage safes. They certainly never became stolen from because no one gave them the time of day.

I am not anymore as destitute right now as I once was. I rent a condo unit on my own and have moved some notches higher in the area of stowing my dollar bills away in reused product packaging. That is I currently save cash in diversion safes.

These are disguised safes which take the form of mundane consumer products to ensure that home invaders would fail to ID them as containers of important things. They arent unlike my empty cartons except that they keep better and have far longer shelf lives.

For example I have moved my petty cash to 3 different spots. These are the Trader Joes Sea Salt can safe in the cupboard a fabric & upholstery cleaner diversion safe in the laundry area and also a carpet cleaner can safe in the utility cabinet.

Back when I initially happened on diversion safes online I read that robbers seek to clear out of the house they are robbing as quickly as they could for fear of getting busted. They do not have time to check within cleaners and food cans for loot.

Using stash cans for storage takes the uncertainty out of how to build a hidden safe securely inexpensively.

A telescopic stun baton is the lengthier and also retractable version of the regular self defense stun gun. Evidently it could give the person the excellent advantage of hitting his target from a secure range.

Several baton stun guns can be extended for about 21.5 inches long from their regular size of 13 inches only. Their expanding function removes the need to go near any assailant so as to debilitate him with a non fatal weapon.

Retractable stun batons can be utilized in their complete size by simply pressing a trigger button. As soon as fully expanded the exposed metal portion is typically electrified so that it becomes impossible for a perpetrator of crime to catch the weapon from you.

Just like virtually any self defense stun gun an expandable stun baton can cease a wrongdoer on his tracks by transmitting electrical shocks to his body when hit. For instance the Stun Master 800000 volt telescopic stun baton could paralyze an opponent for 20 to 45 minutes.

Precisely what makes a collapsible stun baton the better self defense stun gun is that its length alone can intimidate an assailant. This could possibly dissuade him from putting his strategies into action.

When searching for a stun baton the expandable and retracting function shouldnt be neglected. This will provide you a lengthier reach so that you could strike the culprit using an electrical charge without getting closer to him. Furthermore it turns into a handy gadget whenever retracted.

This kind of self defense stun gun includes other useful features also. There are baton stun guns armed with a built-in flashlight to help you navigate dark locations and an alarm that you could activate to inform the men and women close by of trouble.

When you are worried about being electrocuted while utilizing a tactical stun baton you should not be. Even when your enemy touches you when he is being electrically shocked you could untangle yourself easily. It uses non-conductive substance to avoid the user from absorbing an electrical shock.

Despite that I live only a few blocks from my place of work the walk home has consistently been a source of anxiety for me. My apartment building is located within a quite safe part of Chicago however to be able to go back home home I need to pass by a number of undesirable areas.

Hearing about my problem female co-workers advised me to take into consideration security options like self-defense sprays. Desperate to discover a solution to my safety issue I looked on the web quickly for details like what pepper spray really does and where to get pepper spray for that matter.

I learned that defense sprays upon contact with the skin bring about a burning feeling which makes the would-be enemy motionless for several minutes. This buys enough time for the would-be victim to try to escape and ask for assistance.

hot pepper spray like regular pepper spray is non-lethal. It also doesnt induce any kind of long term injuries. The main difference between the two is that hot pepper sprays carry a much stronger formula enough to teach any wrongdoer a lesson the hard way.

Whereas normal pepper sprays consist of 10% pepper strong pepper spray contains 18% oleoresin capsicum. This concentration is responsible for making the pepper solution very hot that it not just causes a burning experience but also causes the eyes to shut as well as causes a choking sensation.

The 4oz. WildFire 18% pepper spray that I bought is recognized to work immediately and potently towards assailants. Like most other strong pepper sprays it immediately gets taken in by the skin produces an agonizing burning feeling and makes breathing hard.

Other versions I have tried out are the 1-pound Firemaster pepper spray and a 9 oz. pepper spray which has a pistol grip.

Performing my research just before buying my pepper spray has paid off simply because I really believe I have found the best gadget for me. Finding out where to get pepper spray and what type I want hasnt been a complete waste of my time.

As a ranger employed by one of the largest national parks within the country Im given the task of safeguarding and also preserving the park and it is surrounding forest. My job takes me deep into the wilderness in which I inspect and document my discoveries.

In the course of my job I usually come across wild bears foraging for food or tending to their young. Normally they are peaceful but sometimes they may mistake you for a predator and face you. For conditions such as these I have a bear repellent.

It is a self-defense spray similar to pepper spray and works in a similar manner however it is meant for use on bears. Its purpose is to drive the bear away in order that you can get away.

The effects do not cause any permanent harm and wear off so that the bear can rejoin its population. However it is not safe for use on humans. The utilization of bear spray can decrease the chance of permanent harm as well as loss of life among bears and humans as well.

I encounter several different species of bears while on patrol so I carry a Guard Alaska ultra hot bear repellent. Its registered solely with the EPA as a repellent that is effective towards all species of bears and is environmentally friendly.

My patrol routes take me along some of the more popular hiking trails. The bears usually avoid these places as there is not much food available. However in the summertime they are known to wander out onto the trail.

My fellow rangers and I were trained to keep our distance from bears especially when being faced with one. The bear pepper spray which I carry helps me with this since it is effective up to 20 feet.

Over the years I have seen many park rangers and hikers saved due to the use of bear repellent spray. I find it to be a very helpful tool for wildlife professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Soon after all of the kids have gone off to start out families of their own my wife and I acquired an RV in order that we can get on the road. We would like to enjoy travel as well as enjoy the great outdoors more often. Being in a position to see amazing sights while retaining that homey sense is essential to us so the RV is just ideal.

However making use of an RV for touring isnt without its down sides primarily on security. We previously used to have a problem with where to save possessions until we started using secret compartment books. These diversion safes have been the most appropriate solutions to our dilemma of secure storage.

Our very first diversion book safe was a Christmas gift coming from our eldest son. He managed to trick me into believing that he had merely gifted me with a book. Given that I read a great deal I was not the least bit surprised by his pick of present but was puzzled as soon as he asked me to glance inside.

As I flipped the pages I discovered a rectangular box set in the middle. It looked as if the pages had been hollowed out to make room for a container. When I nudged the top off I discovered enough space within for concealing things.

I have to admit that this books compartment is a very smart way to hide valuable items without much effort. Goodness is aware that a thief would not waste time sorting through a collection of books searching for cash.

After asking our boy where he got the disguised safe we browsed through web based shops and got a few more. We placed some within a small library at home while keeping the remainder along with my wifes cookbooks and my paperbacks inside the RV.

We store cash and important items inside our book safes every time we are out on a trip right now. My better half has placed her jewelry inside these hidden containers also.

Having secret compartment books inside our RV has certainly reduced our concerns throughout our travels. Were a lot more relaxed realizing that diversion safes have got us covered.

The condominium in which I have lived for 5 years was a shiny new sight on a street lined with shiny new stores and residences the moment I first relocated. However the location didnt take and soon my building developed a bad case of entropy.

It got to a point where just a fool would leave his home without having the most powerful stun gun or pistol in tow. So I procured exactly that except that I opted for the non-lethal weapon over the dangerous firearm.

The moment immediate contact happens the abrupt discharge of electrical energy from a stun gun throughout the body does the job of causing momentary paralysis as well as disorientation. Whoever gets hit loses his ability to move his muscles and ultimately keels over.

The end results do not cause irreversible injury. They fizzle out within 20 to 50 minutes. Youre expected to use this window of opportunity to flee the scene of danger and seek rescue.

The moment I began searching I learned that voltage is one quantifiable measure of power. As high voltage stun guns send out a more powerful electric shock at a time it stands to reason that it could take them fewer shots and time to take an aggressor down.

Disguises although behave like silent partners. Given that disguised stun guns dont look like weapons youll have caught any criminal with his guard down before he becomes aware that you are not exactly helpless.

I put two and two together and settled on a Hot Shot stun gun. Appearing misleadingly just like a Blackberry-style handheld unit it stays under the radar of a predator right up until I can find a chance to offload 975000 volts on them to take them down.

Youd be making a big mistake if you dont try to have the most powerful stun gun make you stay safe in a rough neighborhood. I keep mine in a detachable stainless steel belt clip that came free along with it and I have it on me all the time.

I run a big department store which is visited by a large number of customers every day. Towards the end of a previous month there was a surge in violent weapon-based crime. So in the interest of our customers we decided to take preventive action.

In addition to improving our security system we went ahead and obtained new security metal detectors. The hardest part of that process was having to compare metal detectors available on the market but ultimately we selected Garrett handheld metal detectors.

Our plan was made up of several stages the most crucial of which would be to set up manned security stations at each entrance to our store. The guards positioned there would be in charge of scanning all the patrons to our store as they enter.

All the security stations would be divided into 2 lines one for males and the other for girls. The security guards are there to single out shoppers for carrying contraband items and to take whatever action is important whether it be throwing them out of the store or contacting the cops.

We decided to use handheld security metal detectors mainly because we felt that they would allow us more flexibility than the standard standing metal detectors. Of the models that we got to choose from we picked the CSI Pro-Pointer.

It featured both a vibrating and audible alarm and an led flashlight for low-light use. It also came built with a highly sensitive tuner that was effective at detecting most metallic objects within its range such as shell casings or projectiles.

Given that we were not utilizing a fixed metal detector our security guards were able to scan individuals more thoroughly. This allowed us to find contraband more accurately that may have been missed using a fixed metal detector.

When looking for a robust solution it is necessary that you compare metal detectors to see which one matches your needs. Not all security metal detectors are built the same way and some may be much better compared to others.
